Good Show. I never liked the Cthulhu stuff either, but disagree with its presentation of the Darkness of D&D. It’s a fantasy roll playing game. It is what you make of it. Good or Evil. Because of the Christian slant on this movie I’ll give it an extra star. 7 out of 10

I have mixed feelings about this one. I think it’s a solid production but it’s reminiscent of the hysteria from the 1980s being pedaled by Dungeons and Dragons alarmists. Given that Zombie Orpheus Entertainment and Dead Gentlemen Productions are so heavily invested in RPG nerd culture, it’s obvious this movie doesn’t reflect their own views, but it would have been nice to see a more tongue-in-cheek approach to this subject matter. The story presents itself as a dead-serious narrative and that’s a little too Tom Hank’s 1982 “Mazes and Monsters” for me.
